§1

What this agreement covers

This Loan Agreement sets out the terms of the deferred-payment option described on our Monthly Interest Rate page: buying a mining plan without paying its full price upfront. It applies only when you choose to leave part or all of a plan's price unpaid — if you pay in full at purchase, none of this applies to you. It sits alongside our Usage Policy and Terms of Service, which govern the platform generally.

§2

Eligibility

The same eligibility rules as the rest of Minezaar apply here: you need to be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract, and one loan balance is tied to one account — it can't be shared, transferred, or taken over by anyone else.

§3

The loan

When you buy a mining plan and leave any part of its price unpaid, that unpaid amount becomes a loan balance ("principal") owed by you to Minezaar. The plan is still allocated and starts producing output immediately — the loan is simply a way to pay for it over time instead of all at once.

§4

Interest

Interest accrues on your outstanding principal at a flat rate of 1% per month, for as long as any part of it remains unpaid. See our Monthly Interest Rate page for a worked example.

Editor's note: as on the Monthly Interest Rate page, this assumes simple interest — 1% of the original principal added flat each month, not compounding. Confirm this matches your intended calculation before publishing.

§5

Repayment

There's no fixed due date. You can repay the loan whenever you choose, in full or in installments, and any repayment stops interest from accruing on the amount you've paid off. There's no penalty or fee for repaying early — see Section 8.

§6

Withdrawal restriction

While any part of a loan balance — principal or accrued interest — remains unpaid, you cannot withdraw from your account. Your mining plan keeps producing output and crediting your balance as normal during this time; that balance simply isn't withdrawable until the full loan is cleared. Once it reaches zero, withdrawals work as described in our Usage Policy.

§7

What happens if a loan is never repaid

Minezaar doesn't refer unpaid loan balances to debt collection. The consequence of leaving a loan unpaid is built into the terms above: interest keeps accruing at 1% a month, and your balance stays unavailable to withdraw, for as long as the loan sits open. There's no separate penalty beyond that.

Editor's note: this is a reasonable default, not confirmed policy — it assumes you don't want to pursue formal debt collection on unpaid loans. If you'd rather reserve the right to suspend an account, deduct from a future balance, or take other action after a long-unpaid loan, this clause needs to say so explicitly.

§8

No prepayment penalty

You can pay off part or all of a loan balance at any time without any fee or penalty. Paying earlier simply means less time for interest to accrue — it never costs you more to repay early.

§9

Relationship to other policies

This agreement governs deferred-payment loan balances specifically. Everything else about your account and mining plans — eligibility, account security, service availability, suspension — is governed by our Usage Policy and Terms of Service, which continue to apply in full alongside this agreement.

§10

Governing law

Needs your input: as with our Terms of Service, a governing-law clause names the specific state or country whose courts and laws apply to any dispute over this agreement — for example "the laws of the State of Delaware." That's a real legal decision only you (or your lawyer) can make, so it's deliberately left blank here. It's worth naming the same jurisdiction here as in your Terms of Service, so the two don't conflict.

§11

Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement as the deferred-payment feature evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date above. Any loan balance you already hold at the time of a change continues under the terms it was taken out on, unless we tell you otherwise.
